The Bougainvillea & Jasmine Mini Notebook celebrates the flowers most closely associated with the rich traditions and culture of India: jasmine, tuberose, bougainvillea and rose petals. It features a luminous yellow background inspired by the warmth of sunlight in Indian gardens.

Jasmine and tuberose are woven into garlands exchanged during Indian weddings. Jasmine buds open in the evening, releasing a sweet fragrance, while tuberose — known as Rajnigandha, meaning “fragrance of the night” — is considered deeply romantic.

Bougainvillea flourishes across India in vibrant jewel-like colours, while roses, or gulab, are scattered during wedding ceremonies as symbols of joy, energy and auspiciousness. 

“Gilli” — pronounced Jeeli — captures the burst of joy we feel when we encounter beautiful objects that delight the senses and lift the spirit.
